World Poetry Day 2018

It's time
To rhyme
Again

The eyes reflect once in a while,
A door carved in a special style.
It opens, and you'd think you'd dare,
Hoping for thrills,
Fearing a mare,
Expecting chills,
Forgoing care,
You dare.

Once in a while, so it appears,
The closing door reflects in tears.
Confused, you'll think that you should try,
To hold on. Stay,
To scream, to cry,
But you must stray.
And fly -
Away.

And all whiles gone, your mind reflects,
The opening and closing acts.
The lessons learned, the minuet,
Of thoughts a sea,
Of hopes to get
Another key,
But don't forget:
That's
Poetry.
